Reviewing Stuck USDT Deposits and Transfers
Last updated June 25, 2026
Overview
When you receive USDT through your Slash account, the transfer will be converted using an exchange rate quote from Slash’s stablecoin infrastructure provider before it is completed. Most USDT transfers continue automatically after the normal review and authorization steps.
In order to provide you with the best exchange rate quotes for USDT, our stablecoin infrastructure provider will typically not execute transactions where the USDT/USD exchange rate exceeds a standard threshold of 0.999.
Sometimes, the quoted USDT/USD exchange rate may exceed the standard threshold. When this happens, Slash's stablecoin infrastructure provider may pause the transfer and ask you to review the updated rate before continuing. You can choose to approve the transfer with the displayed additional fee, or you can leave the transfer pending and wait for the rate to improve.
Why a USDT Deposit or Transfer May Require Review
USDT is designed to track the value of the US dollar, but the exchange rate quote available for a transfer can still vary slightly. In the event where the quoted USDT/USD rate exceeds Slash’s standard threshold, this review step helps make sure you know the exact rate and additional fees before an inbound USDT transfer can be completed.
What You Can Do
If your USDT deposit or transfer requires review, you have two options:
- Approve the transfer with the displayed additional fee. Slash will complete the transfer using the updated rate shown in your dashboard.
- Wait for the rate to improve. If you do not approve the updated rate, the transfer will remain pending until a quote is available within the standard threshold or you take another available action.
You are not required to approve the additional fee. Review the updated rate carefully before continuing.
How to Execute a USDT Transfer from the Action Center
If an inbound USDT transfer requires your review, you will see an item in your Action Center.
- Open your Slash dashboard.
- Go to the Action Center.
- Select the pending USDT transfer that requires review.
- Review the updated USDT/USD exchange rate, transfer amount, and any additional fees.
- If you want to continue, click Execute Transfer.
- Follow any authorization steps shown in your dashboard.
After approval, Slash will attempt to complete the transfer at the updated rate.
How to Execute a USDT Transfer from the Transactions Table
You will also be able to approve the transfer directly from your Transactions table.
- Open your Slash dashboard.
- Go to your Transactions page.
- Find the pending inbound USDT transfer.
- Open the transaction details.
- Review the updated exchange rate and additional fees.
- If you want to continue, click Execute Transfer.
- Complete any required authorization steps.
Once approved, the transfer status will update as Slash processes the transaction.
What Happens After You Approve
After you approve the updated rate, Slash submits the transfer for completion. The funds will be credited to your balance using the approved rate.
Your transaction may show as pending while the transfer is being processed. Once completed, the final status will appear in your transaction history.
What Happens If You Do Not Approve
If you do not approve the additional fee, the transfer will not complete at the updated rate. It may remain pending while Slash waits for a quote within the standard threshold.
This can help you avoid accepting a rate you do not want, but it may also delay when an inbound transfer is credited.
Things to Check Before Approving
Before approving a USDT transfer with an updated rate and associated fees, confirm that:
- The transfer amount and token are correct
- You understand the displayed exchange rate
- You are comfortable with the additional fees
- The transfer timing still works for your business
Crypto transfers are generally irreversible once sent. Always review the details carefully before approving.
