How to Add Your Logo and Branding to Invoices
Last updated July 15, 2025
When you send invoices through Slash, they represent your business. Customizing your invoice branding ensures your invoices look professional and consistent with your brand identity. Slash lets you upload your company logo, set brand colors, and configure your company details so every invoice you send makes the right impression.
This guide covers how to set up and customize your invoice branding.
How to Set Up Invoice Branding
Step 1: Navigate to Settings
From your Slash dashboard, go to Settings.
Step 2: Open Invoice Settings
Find the Invoicing section within Settings.
Step 3: Upload Your Logo
Click the logo upload area and select your company logo file. For best results, use a high-resolution PNG or SVG file with a transparent background. Your logo will appear at the top of every invoice you send.
Step 4: Set Your Brand Colors
Customize the accent colors used on your invoices to match your brand. These colors appear in headers, buttons, and accents on the invoice.
Step 5: Confirm Company Details
Verify that your company name, address, and contact information are correct. These details appear on every invoice and should match your official business information.
What Your Customers See
When a customer receives a Slash invoice, they see a clean, professional document with your logo, brand colors, company details, the invoice amount, payment terms, and a clear call to action for making payment. The invoice links to a payment page where they can pay via ACH, wire, or other supported methods.
Professional branding builds trust and makes your business look established, which can improve payment speed and customer confidence.
Tips for Invoice Branding
- Use a high-quality logo. Blurry or low-resolution logos look unprofessional. Use at least 400x400 pixels.
- Keep colors consistent. Use the same brand colors you use on your website and marketing materials.
- Double-check your contact info. Make sure your business address, email, and phone number are current.
- Preview before sending. Always preview an invoice after updating your branding to make sure everything looks right.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use different branding for different entities?
If you have multiple entities on Slash, each entity can have its own invoice branding settings.
What file types are supported for logos?
PNG, JPEG, and SVG are typically supported. PNG with a transparent background works best.
Can I add custom fields to my invoices?
Invoices include standard fields (amount, due date, description, payment terms). Check the invoice creation flow for available customization options.
Will existing invoices update if I change my branding?
Branding changes typically apply to new invoices. Previously sent invoices retain the branding they were sent with.
