How to Filter, Search, and Export Your Transactions
Last updated March 23, 2026
The Transactions page in your Slash dashboard is a comprehensive record of every purchase, withdrawal, deposit, and charge across all your cards and accounts. It is your central hub for monitoring account activity, tracking spending patterns, and finding specific transactions when you need to reference them.
Whether you are reviewing a recent purchase, disputing a charge, or exporting data for your bookkeeping, the Transactions page has the tools to help.
Transaction List Columns
Each row in your transaction list represents a single transaction and includes the following details:
ID: A unique identifier for the transaction. Click it to copy it to your clipboard, which is useful if you need to share it with a merchant's support team or reference it in a dispute.
Date: The date the transaction was initiated. Note that the settlement date (when the transaction fully processes) may differ by one to three business days.
To/From: The name of the merchant for purchases, or the name of the sending institution for incoming deposits and transfers.
Amount: The dollar amount of the transaction. Debits (money going out) and credits (money coming in) are clearly distinguished.
Status: The current state of the transaction. Common statuses include:
- Pending: The transaction has been authorized but has not yet settled. The merchant has reserved the funds but has not completed the charge.
- Settled: The transaction is complete and the funds have been fully transferred.
- Declined: The transaction was not approved. This can happen for a variety of reasons, including insufficient funds, AVS mismatch, or merchant lock restrictions.
- Refunded: The merchant has returned the funds for this transaction.
Card: Which Slash card was used for the transaction. This is especially useful if you manage multiple virtual cards and want to see activity by card.
Filtering Transactions
The filter bar at the top of the Transactions page lets you narrow your view. You can filter by:
- Status: Show only pending, settled, declined, or refunded transactions.
- Category: If you have set up accounting categories, filter by revenue, COGS, OPEX, or custom categories.
- Card: Show only transactions from a specific virtual or physical card.
- Date range: Narrow results to a specific time period.
Filters can be combined, so you can do things like "show all settled transactions on my Nike card in the last 30 days."
Exporting Transactions
To download your transaction history, click Export at the top of the Transactions page. This generates a CSV file containing all transactions that match your current filters. Exports are useful for bookkeeping, tax preparation, or sharing transaction data with an accountant.
Tips for Using the Transactions Page
- Use card filters to review spending by purpose if you have dedicated cards for specific merchants or categories.
- Check pending transactions regularly to ensure authorized amounts match what you expected.
- Export monthly if you use external accounting software, so you always have up-to-date records.
